A Study on the Health Status of University Students by Todai Health Index]

Abstract
|
|
|
To evaluate the general health status of 1,905 university new students(1,111 in male and 941 in female), Todai Health Index was used and was performed in jan., 1986. The results obtained were as follows;
1. Among the mean score of each scale, Multiple subjective symptoms scale(I) score was the highest and Mental irritability scale (J) score was next order in both sexes.
The male students got slightly higher score than the female students in Resperatory(A), Life(L) and Aggressiveness(F) scale, and conversely the female students got slightly higher score than the male students in the other scale.
2. By the college, only the mean score of Life scale(L) was significant higher in the male students of natural science than the other department.
3. By age groups, in both sexes the teen age group got significant higher mean score than the twenties in the mental irritability scale(J) only and the twenties got significant higher mean score than the teen ege group in Digestive(C), Life(L) and Aggressivessiveness(F) scale.
4. The religion group got significant higher mean score than the no religion group in Life sc.ale(L) only.
5. By one´s alma mate, students graduated high school at country got significant higher mean score than the student group graduated high school in city in Mouth and anus scale(D) only.
